NYC Marathon Fundraiser

March 1, 2025

Our alloted bibs for the 2025 NYC Marathon have all been claimed and we will begin accepting applications for the 2026 Marathon on March 6, 2025.

If you are a marathon runner or wannabe, consider running the 2026 New York City Marathon for charity. The Melanoma Education Foundation has been a New York Road Runners (NYRR) official charity partner for the past 14 years. It is our most important fundraising event of the year. It helps us cover our expenses to bring life-saving education to thousands of teen students, the public, and hundreds of Rotary Clubs.

We send proposed contracts to interested runners. There is no obligation or pressure to sign the contract. Runners who sign are required to make good faith credit card deposits of $300 that count toward their $3500 minimum fundraising requirement. All deposits from runners who achieve free entry through the lottery are fully refunded. Runner registration fees paid to NYRR are all reimbursed.

We also provide personal NYRR-endorsed online custom training for first-time marathoners, free fundraising pages where runner’s supporters can contribute, and complimentary MEF pro-running shirts.

For more information or questions please email or call Steve Fine at 978.535.3080.
